e-Reference Desk offers a "What's New" section to compliment additions, updates and changes to our services and resources, including higher education, business, personal finance, mortgages, health and beauty, legal services, personals, home and garden, security, and tourism, and 50 state resource directory.

 

The state resource directory  contains links to the 50 US States: agencies, almanacs; this day in history, counties, facts, famous people in the state, statehood, early histories, economies, geographies, histories, timelines, us presidents, and state symbols: animals and mammals, birds, fish, flags, flowers, fossils, fruits, gemstones or gems, insects, mottos, names and nick names, poets laureate, seals, slogans, trees, as well as colleges and universities both public colleges, private colleges and community colleges, media sources: newspapers, headline news for the states, radio stations, and tv stations, and traffic information, domestic violence, missing persons, and more.

  3. Update of US County pages is continuing: Forty-eight of the fifty states have operational county governments. Alaska and Louisiana call their county type governments boroughs and parishes, respectively. Connecticut and Rhode Island are divided into geographic regions called counties, but they do not have functioning governments, as defined by the Census Bureau.
     

  4. Update: Local weather has been add to eRD home page and state traffic reports
