Cambridge, Massachusetts Colleges

Career Colleges and Training in Cambridge, Massachusetts

When it comes to academic reputations, Cambridge, Massachusetts colleges certainly have much to be proud of. Some of its oldest institutions date back to the 1630s when early settlers from England quickly realize that the future of their great experiment in the "New World" would depend largely on how well they could educate their children. Fast-forward almost 4 centuries, and Cambridge, Massachusetts colleges still engender many of the qualities often associated with the puritanical work ethic. The list of celebrities and notables who have called Cambridge, Massachusetts their home is quite impressive. Noam Chomsky, Yo-Yo Ma, Henry Kissinger, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, E.E. Cummings, and Julia Child are but a small sampling. Students who attend Cambridge, Massachusetts colleges obviously have plenty of sources of inspiration surrounding them.

Although the various academic programs in Cambridge are what most people think of when they hear the city's name, Cambridge has more to offer then education programs. Massachusetts is world renowned for its excellent seafood, historical landmarks, museums, sports fans, unusual accents, and performing arts centers. Although you'll rarely have to leave Cambridge to find a little entertainment, it's nice to know that Boston is just across the Charles River. It certainly has its fair share of fine dining, terrific theater, and nightclubs. And of course, during autumn, thousands of tourists from all over the country flock to this part of New England to view the fall foliage. The only minor drawback with Cambridge is the winter weather. If you're not a fan of heavy snowfall and below freezing temperatures, you will definitely need to pack a few extra sweaters before heading off to school.
