Although you'll rarely have to leave Cambridge to find a little entertainment, it's nice to know that Boston is just across the Charles River. It certainly has its fair share of fine dining, terrific theater, and nightclubs. And of course, during autumn, thousands of tourists from all over the country flock to this part of New England to view the fall foliage. The only minor drawback with Cambridge is the winter weather. If you're not a fan of heavy snowfall and below freezing temperatures, you will definitely need to pack a few extra sweaters before heading off to school.
