MCSE Programs and Certification

Programs and Degrees

Most any mid- to large company in existence today uses a computer system in some way to improve its efficiency. These enterprise software solutions help companies manage their inventories, improve customer relationships, and automate their supply chains, among many other applications.

Enterprise software solutions are designed to run on top of a company's computer infrastructure, including servers and operating systems. Most companies get their computer "platforms" from either Microsoft or Sun Microsystems. A small minority of companies create their own proprietary systems using open source technology. Because most companies work in Microsoft or Sun environments, those looking for system administration or programming jobs need to understand how to work with these platforms.

As far as learning how to use the Microsoft server software and its Windows platform, there are certifications programs available that have been designed by Microsoft. The premier certification for anyone who must implement a business solution in a Microsoft atmosphere is the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) Certification.

By earning this certification, you'll be able to prove to a potential employer that you understand Microsoft server infrastructure, applications support, network administration, directory services, security and SQL Server administration. Many employers require the MCSE certification because they believe that it is the best way to evaluate what skills a candidate can bring to a potential job.

If you want to become an IT professional, including a database, network, or system administrator, you should look into enrolling in a MCSE certification program
