This means that the majority of your courses will teach you about one aspect of communication technology, such as radio broadcasting or knowledge of specific equipment for developing film or other technical processes. Longer programs may prepare you to assist with the production of radio and television shows or films. Most programs in communications technology take from one to two years to complete.

With a degree in communications technology, you can work in a variety of jobs. With experience you can work as a manager of a project or work on postproduction for a television studio. Many communications technicians also work in advertising or public relations.
