Construction Management Degrees in Tennessee

There is one thing you'll need to come to terms with if you decide to move to Tennessee; you'll be listening to a lot of country music. For some, this means paradise. For other is, it requires a considerable adjustment. But by the end of four years, most students spend their time lauding their education rather than complaining about the constant country music. As a construction manager, you will use a combination of leadership and organization to guide a construction team towards its goals. As our population grows exponentially every day, the need for talented and dedicated construction managers grows as well. As a construction manager, you will take great pride in seeing the plans on paper become a reality. You will give guidance and instruction to your construction team, and they will look to you for solutions to the complex problems they will face every day. Not only will you be well-versed in the technical aspect of construction, but you will hone your people skills to make everyone on your team feel important and accountable. You will see the whole picture and the parts that make it up. From the office to the job site, every aspect of the construction will be left up to you. The opportunities and the salary are very attractive for you as the population growth continues to explode.

As a construction manager, you will need to speak several languages. You will be in communication with the workers on your team as well as the businessmen who fund the project. You will also need to be familiar with local and state requirements for your project. With this job comes an enormous responsibility, but the intrinsic and extrinsic rewards are comparable. The satisfaction of knowing that you orchestrated and completed a major building project makes the life of a construction manager very exciting.
