Community colleges and independent schools of art and design also offer studio training and programs in commercial and advertising art. These independent art schools tend to focus more intensively on studio work and career preparation than larger universities may, and they also will often grant bachelor's and master's degrees. Bachelor's degree programs typically take four years to complete, and master's degrees typically take one or two more years in addition to the bachelor's degree program.
