The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences at the University of Idaho offers some "earthy" undergraduate degrees, including environmental horticulture, insects and society, plant biotechnology and sustainable cropping systems, among others. Located on a crystal-clear lake, North Idaho College offers workforce training and community education programs. Here, students can obtain certificates in massage therapy, real estate, community education or enroll in a variety of apprenticeship programs. Located in the ski town of Couer d'Alene, North Idaho College draws a large number of tourists hitting the slopes in winter. There's a nice outdoor theater in summer, as well.
