Computer data collection, entry and analysis together with a look at financial issues affecting the medical office are included with the aim of producing an employee who can provide solutions and management leadership qualities to the healthcare environment. Other topics covered during college training are coding, insurance, billing, communication, record and report writing.
As a certified medical office manager or administrator, you will work as part of a team that would include the medical professional, medical technicians, and other support administrative staff such as receptionists and secretaries. Experience gained in this field can later equip you to obtain positions of greater responsibility and leadership in larger and more complex practices.
